Green Tea Overcome Uterine Benign Tumors

Have you experienced long menstrual period and followed by pain or pressure in lower abdomen? If yes, then you have fibroids or benign tumors that grow on the wall of the uterus. This condition is commonly experienced by approximately 20-40 percent of women over the age of 40 years.
Fibroids also called leiomioma, myomas or fibrimioma. This condition can cause menstrual bleeding to cause anemia due to iron deficiency. It is also difficult conception and can cause miscarriage or problems when giving birth.

Research conducted Dong Zhang and colleagues from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, United States, found green tea extract can kill fibroid cells. The results of this initial study conducted on mice.
In the research rats first injected with fibroid cells given epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) extracted from the polyphenols in green tea. After 8 weeks of EGCG found in tumor cells become smaller, there is even a rat whose tumors disappeared.
