Atrium myxoma


Atrium myxoma is a benign tumor on the top left or right side of the heart. Growing up in the wall (atrial septum) that separates the two sides of the heart. Atrium Myxzoma a liver tumor. Tumors are very rare, usually begins in the septum between the two ventricles of the heart, with 80% of the tumors that grew into the left atrium.
Although the atrium myxoma is a benign tumor, but these tumors can become serious if the tumor embolize clog arteries and lead to disruption of blood flow. If the tumor embolizes clog the blood supply to the brain it can cause a stroke. Myxoma is more common in women. About 10% of patients with myxoma revealed through families (inherited).
Symptoms:
- Chest pain
- Palpitations
- Shortness of breath
- Edema (swelling of the feet)
- Fainting
- Cough
- Fever
- Loss of energy
- Sight reduced
- Confusion
Treatment:
