Before Taking Cough Medicine


Actually cough can heal itself, especially when the body's defense to eliminate foreign substances on the airway without the drug. However, when the body's defense system is not capable of eliminating a foreign body, it needs additional drug.
Before taking a cough medicine, some things you need to know:
1. Do not eat the rest of antibiotics or cough medicine prescribed for someone else, even if it is your own siblings. Similarly, the rules for your child. It is their individual drug consumption.
2. Read the label on the packaging and follow all instructions.
3. Do not give doses of cough medicine is more than recommended.
4. Do not take cough medicine or influenza drugs when you have an allergic reaction to the drug in the past.
5. If you have previously advised to avoid the free drugs, consult your doctor before you eat them.
6. If you are pregnant, do not consume drugs other than acetaminophen unless your doctor did say it's okay.
7. If cough persists for more than two weeks or any other respiratory symptoms, immediately contact your doctor.
8. Note the other symptoms that appear even if you already take medication at home, especially if symptoms worsen. These symptoms like chest tightness with coughing, difficulty breathing, and coughing was getting worse or even a fever. Beware if you cough blood.
